FIFA fans are in for a treat as there will finally be a new FIFA game coming, but it won’t be what most fans are probably thinking, as FIFA is partnering with Netflix to make it. The game doesn’t have an official title yet, but FIFA and Netflix have shared some initial information about it.
It’ll be developed and published by Delphi Interactive. This seems to be Delphi’s first game, although it is reportedly helping with development on 007 First Light, which is scheduled to launch on PC, Nintendo Switch 2 , PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in March 2026. There’s no release date yet, but Netflix says it’ll be out ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup. The 2026 World Cup begins in June, so the game is likely going to be out before then or around the same time. This game will also be exclusive to Netflix and will require a subscription to the service to play it.
The Netflix FIFA game will use your phone as a controller
As this will be a Netflix-exclusive game, the immediate thought is that it will likely be limited to mobile. Netflix started its gaming journey with mobile a few years ago. It has since branched out to offering games via the browser and even through the TV app. Netflix doesn’t explicitly state that you’ll be able to play this game on your phone like all the others. However, it does state that “all you need is Netflix and your phone.” So, there’s a possibility that this will be available to play on mobile devices.
