This name change comes after the cheaper Fire TV Stick 4K Select was released earlier this year. The new (just the name) Fire TV Stick 4K Plus sits between the Fire TV Stick 4K Select and Fire TV Stick 4K Max. The 4K Plus model is up for grabs at $49.99. Meanwhile, the Select and Max models cost $39.99 and $59.99, respectively. The move probably comes to clear up the confusion about the Fire TV Sticks with 4K capabilities.

Everything about the streaming device remains the same
Except for the name, everything about the device is the same (as the Fire TV Stick 4K). With the new name change, there are now three 4K Fire TV Sticks for you to choose from. The major differences are that only the Plus and Max offer Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos audio. Connectivity also varies, with the Fire TV Stick 4K Max offering Wi-Fi 6E, the Plus getting Wi-Fi 6, and the Select offering Wi-Fi 5.
The Max is the only model to feature Alexa Voice Remote Enhanced. It supports the Fire TV Ambient Experience that displays pictures and videos when the TV is in standby mode.
