The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to get a major camera performance upgrade via a new camera algorithm . The information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster.

New camera algorithm could bring true-to-life skin tones to Galaxy S26 Ultra

He went to X to say that this new camera algorithm will accurately reproduce skin color, “achieving what you see is what you get.” This would be a major move forward for Samsung, actually.

Samsung ’s flagship smartphones have long been known as devices that simply love cranking up the saturation. Color accuracy was not something they were well-known for. Well, this new camera algorithm could change that, or at least push things in the right direction.

What’s interesting is that the tipster did not mention the other two phones. Ice Universe specifically mentioned the ‘Ultra’ model, while the base and ‘Plus’ models also struggled in the past.

Let’s hope the other two models will get the same boost

It remains to be seen if Samsung updated the camera algorithm on the other two phones as well. That would sure be nice to see, as all three Galaxy S25 models are guilty of the same thing.

As many of you know by now, neither of these three smartphones will arrive with major camera hardware upgrades. Samsung will change some things, but not as much as users wanted. Well, the company will hopefully be able to tweak things on the software side of things, at the very least.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 , Galaxy S26+ , and Galaxy S26 Ultra are tipped to arrive on February 25 . Samsung did not announce that date just yet, but several trusted sources mentioned it, including Evan Blass.

All three phones are expected to go on sale in early March, following this launch. Chances are they’ll become available to pre-order on the same day they get announced. The launch event will allegedly take place in San Francisco, US.
