The OnePlus 15 is now getting a new update , as the rollout is starting in Europe and India. That update will likely be available in the US as well, once you get the device. As many of you know, the OnePlus 15 is now up for pre-order in the US , it’s not on sale yet.
The OnePlus 15 is getting a new update with the December 2025 security patch
With that being said, we’re talking about the OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 update here. This update brings the December 2025 Android security patch to the table, along with a number of other changes.
It improves the logic for ending summaries and subtitles by automatically ending them when there has been no sound input for a certain period. You can now also drag to resize app clone icons and add shortcuts.
This update also adds a ‘Neon’ filter to the Camera app that recreates the CineStill 800T film effect. This should enhance atmospheric night portrait shots. The filter in the Photos app now supports ‘Motion Photo’, ‘Screenshots & screen recordings’, and ‘Edited’ options. That should make it easier to filter images and videos.
After resizing an app icon and adding commonly used shortcut icons, you can now also drag-and-drop these shortcut icons to rearrange them.
Bypass charging feature is being added as well
This update also adds a bypass charging feature. This feature lets you simultaneously use and charge your phone without harming the battery, while it also reduces overheating.
With this update, OnePlus also improved the thumbnail parsing method in the Photos app in order to speed up the display of thumbnails in the app. The update also fixes an issue where your car display might be disconnected from your phone when you switch the phone’s data network.
This update is now rolling out, but it’s rolling out in stages. In other words, you may not get it straight away. Be patient.
