The first major wireless network report of 2026 is out, and it reveals that T-Mobile beat Verizon and ATT in terms of wireless network quality performance. The report offers a clear look at the network performance of all the major US carriers across regions. Based on the user feedback, the report highlights which carrier delivered the most reliable experience and where competitive gaps are still visible.
T-Mobile beat Verizon and ATT based on customer network performance
The latest wireless network study from J.D. Power captures input from more than 20,000 wireless customers to paint a detailed picture of carrier reliability. As per the results, T-Mobile earned the highest rating in the Southeast and Southwest and tied for first place with Verizon in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and West regions. On the flip side, Verizon claimed the top place in the North Central region, where UScellular earned the second position, and T-Mobile placed third.
If we combine all the regions, T-Mobile secures the first position in terms of network quality in five of six US regions. The top executives of the company credit years of investment in spectrum, infrastructure, and engineering for the strong regional performance. It further claims that customer perception is finally matching the internal performance expectations.
Verizon and ATT is not light years behind either
Overall, Ve r izon continued to score solidly despite recent network outages. ATT , on the other hand, continued to trail its rivals in most regions of the study. However, the margin of difference is not very huge.
For years, independent testing has shown that T-Mobile delivers faster speeds, lower latency, and stronger voice performance than its competitors. The latest survey further supports the claim. It won’t be wrong to say that T-Mobile is among the top when it comes to network reliability. Though users still report occasional network failures, the consistency of its network appears to be a major strength that sets the carrier apart from Verizon and ATT.
