With that being said, this update fixes a total of 34 issues. 25 of those fixes are provided by Google, while Samsung has added 9 of its own fixes for One UI problems that it spotted. Exynos fixes are not relevant here, as neither phone is fueled by an Exynos SoC.

Two fixes here are classified as ‘critical’, while the rest of them are marked as ‘high-risk’ ones. There are no moderate or low-risk vulnerabilities mentioned this time around. There don’t seem to be any new features included here, not at all.

The rollout of this update starts in South Korea, the company’s homeland. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 update carries firmware version F946NKSS5FYK3, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 update carries firmware version F731NKSS5FYK3.

This update will spread to more markets soon, if it hasn’t already

Do note that this update will reach other markets very soon. That’s how Samsung does things. It should reach more markets within days, and possibly even be available in your market by the time you’re reading this.

This update is rolling out in stages, though, so it may take a while for your phone to get it even when it starts to roll out. You can try to speed things up by checking for it manually via Settings -> Software update -> Download and install.

The next big(ger) update for these two phones is expected to come in the form of One UI 8.5. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series will likely debut that update, and these two phones are expected to get it at some point after that. It’s likely we’ll see at least one more monthly security update before that happens, though.
