According to a new report, the OnePlus Open 2 has been cancelled . This may confuse some of you, as the device was kind of cancelled about a year ago , no? Well, yes, let me explain.

So, the OnePlus Open 2 was supposed to be the name of the OnePlus Open ’s successor. The device was supposed to be based on the OPPO Find N5 , which was announced in February 2025. In fact, it was supposed to be a rebranded OPPO Find N5, essentially.

The OnePlus Open 2 has been cancelled, don’t expect a book-style foldable from the company

OnePlus decided not to announce the device at all, and thus not announce its second-gen book-style foldable. That’s where things stood last year , and now a new report, from Yogesh Brar, a tipster, claims that the device has been properly cancelled.

In other words, the company doesn’t seem to have plans to announce a book-style foldable at all. Well, at least not in the near future. OPPO will be focused on that, not OnePlus (they’re both under the same company umbrella).

The OPPO Find N6 is expected to arrive in Q1 2026, so… soon. It’s expected to offer an improved camera setup compared to the OPPO Find N5, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and a number of other improvements.

That’s not the only book-style foldable rumored when it comes to OPPO, though. The OPPO Find N7 is allegedly coming as soon as later this year, and it will be a wider foldable. That phone is said to compete directly with Apple’s first foldable and Samsung’s upcoming wide book-style foldable. It will, presumably, also be a flagship-level foldable.

OnePlus’ compact flagship is also not coming… at least not its global version

The tipster also mentioned the OnePlus 15s, the company’s rumored compact flagship. That device has seemingly been cancelled as well. He’s “90% sure” that is the case.

Based on last year’s model, the OnePlus 15s was basically supposed to be a rebranded OnePlus 15T, which is coming to the Chinese market. So… if this is true, don’t expect a compact flagship from OnePlus, at least not its global variant.
