As expected, a recent rumor claiming that the base Samsung Galaxy S26 model will support 45W charging was wrong . The same source that announced it has just corrected itself .
The base Galaxy S26 model will not get faster charging
The information comes from Ahmed Qwaider, a tipster, and is backed by Ice Universe this time around. The base Samsung Galaxy S26 unit will end up offering 25W wired charging, just like its predecessor.
It will offer the slowest charging in the series. The Galaxy S26+ will arrive with 45W wired charging support, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60W charging.
Do note that all three phones will end up supporting wireless charging too. We know that the ‘Ultra’ will support 25W wireless charging, while we’re not sure for the other two models. What we do know is that all three will include magnets on the inside.
It will end up having a slightly larger battery
Furthermore, the tipster also reconfirmed battery capacities once again. The Galaxy S26 will end up including a 4,300mAh battery, the Galaxy S26+ will feature a 4,900mAh battery, while the ‘Ultra’ will sport a 5,000mAh battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 will end up offering a slightly larger battery than its predecessor (4,300mAh vs 4,000mAh), while the other two phones will have the same battery capacity as their predecessors.
The tipster also mentioned that the ‘hero color’ will be ‘violet’. We know that it will be the case for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as its colors surfaced recently, but we’re not sure if it applies for the other two models.
In case you’re wondering, no, orange will not be one of the colors on offer. Some rumors suggested Samsung will copy Apple in that regard, but that won’t be the case.
All three devices are expected to launch next month
In regards to designs, we’ve reveled the designs of the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra a while back. All three of these smartphones are expected to launch on February 25, and go on sale on March 11.
