Nubia is one of the Android companies that offer foldable phones. Although it’s not the most popular brand in the segment, its devices usually offer good value for money. Now they’ve just launched a couple of new models: the Nubia Flip 3 and the Nubia Fold. Both devices are set to launch in global markets.

The company aims to offer options in the two main categories of foldable devices that dominate the market. This way, whether you’re looking for a clamshell-like or a book-like design, you’ll have to choose from.

Nubia Flip 3

The nubia Flip3, the brand’s clamshell model, addresses some common concerns regarding the usability of flip phones when closed. It features a sizable 4-inch AMOLED cover display. This is similar to recent premium competing devices like the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. The design choice offers users more practical interaction capabilities without needing to unfold the main screen.

The main display inside measures 6.9 inches and offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the Flip3 is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset. The mid-range nature of the device is evident in its 6GB of RAM. There’s a 4,610mAh battery that’s only slightly smaller than the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Its dual-rear camera array includes a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. There’s also a 32MP front sensor for selfies when the phone is unfolded. You’ll also find an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water. Sales are scheduled to begin in mid-January 2026.

Nubia Fold

The nubia Fold, the book-style device, is to offer high-end performance and more productivity options. The phone integrates a notable 6,560mAh battery that is much larger than that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This places the nubia Fold among the leaders in battery capacity for this specific form factor, addressing a critical need for power-hungry foldable pseudo-tablets. There’s also 55W fast charging support via USB-C.

The device features an 8-inch main display, supporting high resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. When folded, you can use a still-large 6.5-inch cover screen. Driving the performance is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a powerful chip from the previous generation that still has a lot to offer.

For photography, the nubia Fold includes a comprehensive camera setup: a triple-rear array with two 50MP sensors (main and ultrawide) and a 5MP macro unit. There is also a pair of separate 20MP front-facing cameras positioned on both the internal and external displays. Despite its large internal components, the device maintains a relatively slender profile . It measures only 5.4mm when fully unfolded.

The nubia Fold is launching with a price point of approximately $1,145 USD. On the other hand, there are still no details on the price of the nubia Flip3.
