The OnePlus 13 has just started getting a new update . This update started rolling out in India, but it will make its way to other markets soon, if it hasn’t already. The update in question is the OxygenOS 16.0.3.501, based on Android 16 , of course.

The January 2026 security patch is included in this OnePlus 13 update, along with improved image editing

This update does deliver the January 2026 Android security patch to the device, but that’s not all. As per usual, when it comes to OnePlus updates, there are a number of other inclusions in the changelog, which are not security-related.

This update brings image editing without compromising image quality to the OnePlus Photos app (up to 50 million pixels). It also adds a bypass charging feature for when you’re gaming, live streaming, watching videos, etc.

App categorization in Drawer mode has also been improved with this update. OnePlus added the ‘Office’ and ‘Finance’ categories in order to do so. It’s now easier to find apps.

Browsing files in Private Safe by sliding the side slider is now possible, as is searching for files from folders in Private Safe. You can now also share files in Private Safe, if you want.

The last entry in the company’s changelog says that OnePlus added a ‘Reply with SMS’ switch that lets you hide the SMS reply option on the incoming call screen. This feature is located in Contacts.

Bypass charging is arguably the most notable addition here

The most notable addition with this update is the bypass charging, arguably. That image editing option without compromising image quality will also mean a lot to some users, that’s for sure.

This OnePlus 13 update is rolling out in stages. So, even when it comes to your region, you may have to wait in order to get it. It shouldn’t take long for it to roll out to all users, though, so don’t worry about it.
