The OnePlus 13R is now getting a new update with the August 2025 Android security patch . This update delivers so much more than that, though. It is marked as OxygenOS 15.0.0.850, and the rollout has started, but it has not reached everyone just yet.
The rollout has started in India and is expanding from there. It is a global update, and it will reach every global unit, gradually. You’ll have to be patient, as OnePlus is rolling the update in stages, as per usual.
New OnePlus 13R update boosts security, improves animations, and more
In addition to the security boost, OnePlus included a lot more changes in the official changelog. This update improves the animations for opening, repositioning, and resizing a floating window.
In addition to that, a number of improvements to ‘Private Safe’ have been made. You can now share images and videos in Private Safe. On top of that, customizing image and video album covers in Private Safe is also a possibility. The same goes for sorting and viewing images and videos by time. Adding files directly under the ‘Other files’ category is Private Safe is also possible.
Split View is no longer restricted to fixed ratios. When recent tasks are stacked, you can modify an app’s lock status by swiping down on the app on the recent tasks screen.
All notifications that you receive in landsacpe mode are now displayed in a simplified banner format to reduce interruptions, OnePlus says. Swiping down on a simplified banner notification to display the app in a floating window is also an option.
A full changelog is available
