OnePlus has just detailed the OnePlus 15 design ahead of its launch. The phone is expected to arrive next month with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 , even though the official date hasn’t been confirmed just yet. It will almost certainly launch in China first, though.

With that being said, the company has already shown us the front and back sides of the phone , last week. Now, we’re getting an even closer look at the phone, with more official images, while OnePlus also talked more about its design .

The OnePlus 15 design gets detailed, and ‘Sand Dune’ color gets shown

If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll see the OnePlus 15 in ‘Sand Dune’ color. Those images were shared by OnePlus China, via the company’s Weibo channel.

It has a flat front and back sides, not to mention that its frame is also flat. A circular camera on the back is replaced with a square one, and it sits in the top-left corner of the phone’s back side. Three cameras are included in there.

The ‘Sand Dune’ color seems to be a darker white color, if that makes sense. The power/lock button sits on the right-hand side, along with the volume up and down keys. On the left, you’ll find the customizable key that replaces the alert slider, the so-called ‘Quick Key’.

Its bezels are uniform and only 1.15mm thick

The bezels around the display will be uniform, and they’ll be only 1.15mm thick. OnePlus also confirmed that the phone’s chassis incorporates an aerospace-grade ‘nano-ceramic metal’ midframe.

OnePlus said that this new material is a significant advancement. It is 26.3% lighter than titanium, offers 134% greater wear resistance than titanium metal surfaces, and provides 26.6 times better heat dissipation than titanium.

The manufacturing of this material includes three leading technologies: micro arc oxidation, ion coloring process, and nanoscale sealing process. The micro arc oxidation is a military-grade process that enhances durability. It makes the surface 134% harder than a titanium surface, 223% harder than a stainless steel surface, and 344% harder than an anode aluminum alloy.

It will be very durable, it seems

The ion coloring process ensures that the phone’s color is not easy to fade. The nanoscale sealing process provides robust protection. OnePlus says that 336 hours of rigorous salt spray colorrosion resistance testing was done.

The phone’s surface features a ‘Quenching Texture’ for a subtle, refined look. ‘Ice Skin’ feel was also mentioned by the company, and it’s engineered to be cool and pleasant against the skin.
