Digital Chat Station, one of the most reliable tipsters around, shared the specs of the upcoming OnePlus 15T handset last month. Well, he’s now back with even more information about the device .
The tipster went to Weibo to confirm that the company’s upcoming compact flagship will feature a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It will most likely be an LTPS display, not an LTPO.
The OnePlus 15T could end up having even more massive battery than expected
The most important part of his post relates to the phone’s battery. Previously, he said that the company is aiming to include a battery capacity of around 7,000mAh. Well, now he says it could be closer to 7,500mAh.
Needless to say, that’s a huge battery pack for a compact phone. If this ends up being true, it will beat the Xiaomi 17, which comes with a 7,000mAh battery on the inside. The OnePlus 13T, as a reminder, includes a 6,260mAh battery, which was plenty for that phone. It offered outstanding battery life.
The tipster also mentioned that the phone will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display. A metal frame was also mentioned, as was a 50-megapixel telephoto camera (Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor).
The last piece of information that he shared this time around is the launch timeframe for the phone. The OnePlus 15T will arrive in early Q2 this year, it seems.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will fuel the device
He did not mention the phone’s chip this time around, but it was mentioned previously. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected to fuel the device. Therefore, this will essentially be a more compact counterpart to the OnePlus 15 .
The OnePlus 13T launched in China only last year, but it was rebranded to the OnePlus 13s , which launched in India. Unfortunately, however, other markets did not get the phone. We do hope that the OnePlus 15T will launch in far more markets, including the US and Europe. It remains to be seen.
