The OnePlus 15T specs have just been shared by a well-known tipster. The OnePlus 15T, as some of you may know, is OnePlus ’ upcoming compact flagship smartphone. The information comes from Digital Chat Station, by the way.
The OnePlus 15T will have a powerful set of specs
He shared the information via Weibo, a Chinese social network. The tipster claims that the OnePlus 15T will feature a 6.3-inch 165Hz OLED display . That panel will offer a 1.5K resolution, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package.
The tipster also mentions that the phone will have a metal frame and a battery capacity of at least 7,000mAh. So, OnePlus will use a silicon-carbon battery, as expected.
A telephoto camera could replace an ultrawide one
He also mentioned that a telephoto camera will be included on the back. We’re not sure if two cameras will be included, as on its predecessor, but if that’s true, then OnePlus plans to ditch the ultrawide camera.
Digital Chat Station also said that one of the accessories OnePlus will offer will be a white/gray magnetic snap-on case. That’s basically everything he said this time around.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will fuel the device
Back in October, he talked about this device too, but without mentioning its name. Back then, he mentioned the same display and battery information, while noting that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will fuel the device. He also mentioned that an IP68 rating will be a part of the offering.
We’re still not sure when will this device see the light of day. The OnePlus 13T launched in April this year. The thing is, the OnePlus 15 launched considerably earlier than the OnePlus 13, so that may affect the launch timeline for the OnePlus 15T.
It could launch sooner than expected
If we had to guess, we’d say that the OnePlus 15T will arrive sooner this time around. We’re just hoping that it will make its way to global markets. The OnePlus 13T was exclusive to China, until it was rebranded for India under the OnePlus 13s name.
We’re hoping that the OnePlus 15T will make its way to the US and Europe, along with a number of other regions, regardless of what name OnePlus ends up opting for.
