OnePlus ’ big battery phones from the ‘Turbo’ series now have a launch date . The OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V will become official on January 8, in the company’s homeland, China.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 & Turbo 6V launch date confirmed, along with their designs
The company announced as much, while also confirming the designs of the two devices (shown below). It turns out our exclusive leak was spot on, though it was showing the ‘6V’ version of the phone. Granted, they’re basically the same, looking aside from the Turbo 6’s additional cutout in the camera island.

The two phones will feature a flat display with a centered display camera hole. The bezels around the display will be both thin and uniform. On the back, you’ll get a square camera island in the top-left corner.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 will be the more powerful of the two phones. It will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. It’ll also use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, while shipping with Android 16 out of the box.
Both phones will utilize a huge 9,000mAh battery
A 9,000mAh battery will also be used here, as will a 1.5K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. 80W wired and 27W reverse wired charging will also be on offer, while the phone will be IP68, IP69, and IP69K certified.
A 50-megapixel main camera will be backed by an 8-megapixel unit, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The OnePlus Turbo 6V will have an inferior Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip and a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The same large battery will be used, along with 80W charging.
This phone will have a plastic frame and a 50 + 8MP camera setup on the back. The same selfie camera will be used as well, as on the regular model.
We’re still not sure whether either of these two phones will make its way to the US or Europe. If the answer to that is yes, then they’ll likely have a different name in those markets. We’ll see.
