The OPPO Find X9 Ultra could get a major telephoto camera boost . According to a well-known tipster, OPPO will utilize a 200MP 1/1.28-inch camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture as the 3x telephoto camera on the OPPO Find X9 Ultra.

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra will get a major 200MP telephoto camera upgrade, it seems

Considering how accurate Digital Chat Station usually is, we have no reason to doubt this. As a reminder, the OPPO Find X9 Pro, OPPO’s current flagship, has a 200MP 1/1.56-inch 3x periscope telephoto camera now.

If this information is accurate, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra’s periscope telephoto camera will utilize the same sensor size as the main camera on the OPPO Find X9 Pro . That phone has a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch camera sensor.

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra is also rumored to get a main camera boost, actually. If both of those rumors end up being true, the ‘Ultra’ model will overshadow the OPPO Find X9 Pro with ease. Those are two major improvements in the camera department.

The device is also tipped to use a brand new 200MP main camera sensor

What main sensor will the phone use? Well, the brand new Sony LYT-901 camera sensor is rumored. That is Sony’s first 200-megapixel camera sensor for smartphones, and it’s a huge 1/1.12-inch.

OmniVision did introduce its own flagship 200-megapixel sensor almost at the same time as Sony. That one is a 1/1.1-inch unit, and they’re both very compelling. So if OPPO ends up using either one of those, that would be great.

The Vivo X300 Ultra is also coming, and that phone is also tipped to get improvements in both main and periscope telephoto camera sections. In fact, it could end up using similar hardware as the OPPO Find X9 Ultra.

The Vivo X300 Ultra is also rumored to be going for the Sony LYT-901, and a larger periscope telephoto camera. It remains to be seen how accurate those rumors are. All that sounds quite exciting, though, and both devices are rumored to get global variants.
