A new report has just revealed the camera sensors we’ll get on the OPPO Find X9 Ultra. Yes, it shares good news, excellent even. OPPO is really looking to up the ante in the camera department yet again.
Do take the information with a grain of salt, as it doesn’t come from one of our regular, trusted tipsters. It was shared on X by a user called ‘Halt!, in case you’re wondering.
New rumor claims that the OPPO Find X9 Ultra will include two brand new 200MP cameras
He claims that the phone will include four cameras on the back , which is in line with previous rumors. The main camera will be a 200-megapixel one, from Sony. Yes, the all-new Sony LYT-901 aka LYTIA 901 sensor. That’s a 1/1.12-inch camera sensor (23mm lens equivalent), and the expectations are high, let’s just say that. Not a single smartphone uses that camera sensor just yet.
Speaking of impressive cameras, the phone is also tipped to use a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The OmnIVision OV52A is mentioned here, which is a 1/1.28-inch camera sensor (70mm lens equivalent). That is also a brand new camera sensor, announced back in October.
The other two cameras on the back of the phone won’t be as impressive, it seems. A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera is tipped (15mm lens equivalent), Samsung’s JN5 camera sensor. That is a 1/2.76-inch camera sensor we’ve seen a ton of times thus far.
The last camera on the back of the device will be a 50-megapixel telephoto unit. That one will use the same sensor as the ultrawide camera and will offer 10x optical zoom (230mm lens equivalent).
Take the information with a grain of salt, though
Considering that this is OPPO , and the company’s ‘Ultra’ phone, it’s possible we’ll see both Sony’s and OmniVision’s new sensors in action. We’d stick take this information with a grain of salt, though.
While that idea does look very appealing, we’re a bit skeptical, so we’ll have to wait and see. Fitting both of those sensors inside that camera island won’t be easy, especially next to two ISOCELL JN5 camera sensors… presuming this rumor is accurate.
