OnePlus 15 vs Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: Design
Both of these smartphones are made out of aluminum and glass. Both of them have a flat display on the front, with a centered display camera hole up top. That camera hole is smaller on the OnePlus 15, though. Speaking of which, the OnePlus 15 also has thinner bezels around the display, though both of them have uniform bezels. You’ll also realize that the frame on both phones is flat, for the most part. Both iterations do curve a bit towards the edges.
The power/lock and volume up and down buttons are included on the right-hand side of both phones. The thing is, the OnePlus 15 has a power/lock button below the volume rocker keys, while it’s the other way around on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. The OnePlus 15 also has that extra button on the left side, the one that replaced the alert slider. That button is customizable, by the way.
If we flip the two phones around, you’ll see notably different camera setups. Both backplates are flat, but the camera setups are different. The OnePlus 15 includes a camera island in the top-left corner, a squarish one. The Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the other hand, has a camera bar at the top of its back side. A horizontal camera bar, which does protrude, as does the OnePlus 15’s camera island. Both phones have three cameras on the back.
The OnePlus 15 is IP68 and IP69K certified, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL comes with an IP68 certification only. OnePlus’ handset does offer a bit better ingress protection. Both phones are quite slippery in the hand, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL is heavier by 21 grams. It’s also taller and slightly thicker.
OnePlus 15 vs Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: Display
The OnePlus 15 includes a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which is flat. It has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 1.5K, and a resolution of 2772 x 1272. This IDisplay has high-frequency PWM dimming, Dolby Vision support, and it also supports HDR10+ and HDR Vivid. The peak brightness is very high, while the screen-to-body ratio is at around 91%. The display aspect ratio is 19.5:9, while the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display.

OnePlus 15
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the other hand, features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display, which is also flat. Its refresh rate goes up to 120Hz, and the resolution is 2992 x 1344. HDR10+ is supported, while the peak brightness is 3,300 nits. The screen-to-body ratio is 88%, while the display aspect ratio is 20:9. Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects this panel.
Both of these displays are outstanding, actually. They’re bright, vivid, and have great viewing angles. Both displays are well-protected as well, and offer great touch response. The OnePlus 15’s panel has the advantage of a higher refresh rate in gaming, and also high-frequency PWM dimming. If you don’t care about either of those, you’ll be more than happy with either one of these two panels.
OnePlus 15 vs Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: Performance
The OnePlus 15 is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the most powerful Qualcomm chip out there. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and it uses UFS 4.1 flash storage. The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the other hand, is fueled by the Google Tensor G5 processor and comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. Neither phone supports storage expansion, by the way.
Both of these phones offer great performance. They’re both very smooth and can handle anything you throw at them. They stay smooth even during heavy multitasking. The thing is, yes, the OnePlus 15 has a more powerful chip and faster storage. It is a bit faster when you compare them directly, there’s no denying that. However, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is plenty fast too, and there’s no lag on either phone.
Gaming is good on both devices, but the OnePlus 15 has the edge. It has a processor that is much better for gaming purposes, not to mention that OnePlus actually focused on making the OnePlus 15 a gaming machine. It has plenty of gaming features, not to mention that 165Hz display that caters to gamers. Out of the two, the OnePlus 15 is better for gaming, and it also stays cooler when you’re playing demanding games.
OnePlus 15 vs Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: Battery
What about the battery? Well, the OnePlus 15 not only has a much larger battery on the inside, but it offers much better battery life. The phone ships with a 7,300mAh unit, compared to a 5,200mAh battery inside the Pixel 10 Pro XL. If we take into account that the display sizes on these two phones are very similar, this is interesting. Granted, OnePlus did go above and beyond by adding this huge silicon-carbon battery, which does not really add any bulk to the device. In fact, it’s considerably lighter in comparison.
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL will offer plenty of juice for most people, on a daily basis. However, if you’re a true power user, or you want your phone to last over a day with heavy use, the OnePlus 15 is the device for you. We were able to get some truly high screen-on times with that phone, we’ve passed the 10-hour screen-on time mark consistently, and the phone still kept going strong. So, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL does offer passable battery life, it’s no match for the OnePlus 15.
The same can be said for charging, actually. The OnePlus 15 supports 120W wired, 50W wireless, 10W reverse wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging. The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 45W wired, 25W Qi2 wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging. The OnePlus 15 can be charged much faster both via a wire and wirelessly. It’ll take you only around 40 minutes to do so. The Pixel 10 Pro XL will take around an hour and 20 minutes to get to 100%. The Pixel 10 Pro XL does not include a charger in the box, while for the OnePlus 15 depends on in which region you buy it in.
OnePlus 15 vs Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: Cameras
You’ll find three cameras on both of these smartphones. The OnePlus 15 includes a 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture, 1/1.56-inch sensor size, OIS), a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.88-inch sensor size, 116-degree FoV), and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (/2.0 aperture, 1/2.76-inch sensor size, 3.5x optical zoom).
Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the flip side, has a 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.7 aperture, 1/1.31-inch sensor size, OIS), along with a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.55-inch sensor size, 123-degree FoV). The third camera on the back of this phone is a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (f/2.8 aperture, 1/2.55-inch sensor size, OIS, 5x optical zoom).
Both smartphones do a good job with photography. Google did improve the Pixel 10 Pro XL camera since launch, as it fixed some issues that it originally had. The OnePlus 15 is capable of providing more accurate photos with better colors, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL offers that contrasty Pixel look that many people like. These two phones are basically trading blows from one camera sample to the next, your preferences will play a huge role here. Both of them also do a very good job in low light, with different results.
Audio
There are stereo speakers included inside both of these two phones. Those speakers are good on both ends. The ones on the OnePlus 15 are a bit louder, though, but not by much. The sound quality is good from both phones.
There is no audio jack on either of these phones. You can always hook up your wired headphones via the Type-C port, if you want. Alternatively, both smartphones support Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless audio connectivity.
