Google made Magic Cue a big deal at the Pixel 10 launch, but it wasn’t, well, magical at launch. However, Google gradually improved it, finally living up to the hype. But in all fairness, it wasn’t anything groundbreaking. It appears that Google wants to further improve Pixel 10’s Magic Cue, with Google Wallet and Google Tasks integration.
Pixel 10’s Magic Cue may get Google Wallet and Google Tasks integration
Magic Cue currently pulls in data from various Google core apps on your phone and shows relevant information and actions when you need them. Currently, it fetches information from Pixel Screenshots, Gmail, Messages, Keep Notes, Contacts, and Calendar apps. Now, according to a fresh finding from Telegram user Kieron Quinn , Google seems to be working on further improving Magic Cue.
Magic Cue might soon gain access to data from two more Google apps: Google Wallet and Tasks. The Telegram user has managed to surface the toggles for these apps in the Magic Cue settings on a Pixel 10 device.
Toggles for these apps live in the Magic Cue settings
Since Google hasn’t explicitly announced the integration, we can only speculate how this will make Magic Cue better. Google Wallet can pull information like the real-time status, boarding passes, tickets, and payment cards stored in Google Wallet. With Google Tasks, Magic Cue may pull information like reminders and to-dos whenever contextually relevant. Google might build on the current use cases with the new integrations and further improve Magic Cue. It can read across apps to fetch more factual and revelant information.
Google hasn’t made Google Wallet and Tasks integration official yet, but considering it’s showing up in the settings on a Pixel 10 device (at least to the user), it might start rolling out soon. We’ll make it a thing to update you when it rolls out more widely.
