Google ’s Pixel phones have started receiving the Android 16 QPR2 update recently, which we talked about recently. Google has also revealed what security and bug fixes does Pixel’s December 2025 update brings .
Google has pushed out a ton of security fixes, plus plenty of other patches
This update includes 51 security patches in the Android 16 December patch dated December 1, and 56 for December 5, for vulnerabilities ranging from ‘high’ to ‘critical’. On top of that, the dedicated bulletin for Google devices lists 28 additional security fixes.
This update also brings bug fixes across Audio, Battery & Charging, Bluetooth, Camera, Display & Graphics, Framework, Sensors, System, Telephony, Touch, User Interface, and Wi-Fi sections.
Some of these bug fixes are exclusive to some Pixel phones, while some are coming to all of them. For example, all devices are getting a fix for the 80% charging limit not being respected. If you’ve been having an issue with the display flashing on the Pixel 10 series, that should also be fixed now.
Both the Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series phones are getting a fix for an issue that caused occasional audio crashes. They’re also getting general improvements for camera stability under certain conditions. Those two series of phones are also getting a fix for an issue causing screen freezes and display corruption in certain conditions.
Google is also fixing some issues causing fingerprint unlock to fail for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 devices. The Google Pixel 8 series is getting a fix for Wi-Fi connectivity stability and performance. That was an issue in certain conditions.
The Pixel 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 series phones are getting the update
