Plaud has expanded its range of AI note-taking devices with the launch of the Note Pro . The device comes as the successor to the Plaud Note from 2023 with upgrades in multiple areas. For those who don’t know, Plaud’s Note range offers AI-powered notetakers the size of a credit card that you can attach to the back of your smartphone. You can use it to take notes for calls or in-person meetings.
Plaud’s Note Pro AI notetaker brings a small screen
Plaud’s new Note Pro AI notetaker appears similar to the original offering from 2023 in terms of design. However, the new device features a small 0.95-inch AMOLED screen, which displays important information like the recording indicator, current recording mode, and battery level. Furthermore, the new offering has two additional microphones that allow it to pick up audio within a 16.4-foot area.
Like the earlier model , the AI-powered Plaud Note Pro functions as a voice recorder, allowing you to capture any conversation that needs transcription. The main driver behind the wheel is the company’s software, which pulls and transcribes the audio from the meetings. Then, it processes it based on custom and present language models.

Plaud updated its companion app, introduced new endurance mode
Alongside the new AI notetaker, Plaud is also upgrading its companion application with new functionalities. Users can now take notes in text on their phone and add images, like slides. Furthermore, the updated app provides “multidimensional summaries,” which allow users to extract insights in different formats. Additionally, the tech firm has made templates for summary generation, apart from allowing users to build their own templates.
The Plaud Note Pro offers the same 30-hour recording for the standard range as its predecessor. However, the company has introduced a new “endurance” battery mode, which extends the recording hours to 50 hours but with a shorter recording range of nearly 3 meters on a single charge.
Coming to the pricing, the Plaud Note Pro costs $179 and is available to pre-order, with shipping slated for October this year. Those who pre-order the AI notetaker will get 600 complimentary transcription minutes along with a magnetic case. The device comes bundled with up to 300 transcription minutes per month by default, which users can upgrade by subscribing to paid premium plans.
