POCO has launched its new flagships , the POCO F8 Pro and F8 Ultra, at an event in Bali, Indonesia. A key standout of the phones is the new audio partnership with the veteran Bose. The Ultra model goes a step ahead and features a dedicated subwoofer as well. They boast brand-new acoustic components, tuned by Bose engineers . Besides the audio, the POCO F8 Pro gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the F8 Ultra features the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
POCO F8 Ultra gets a 6,500mAh battery and a 6.9-inch display
The POCO F8 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 3,500 nits peak brightness, and up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. There’s an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and an AI face unlock for security. You get POCO Shield Glass, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DC Dimming, and Wet Touch Display 2.0. The phone gets a 6,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
It runs on Android 16 -based HyperOS 3 right out of the box, and you’ll get a range of AI features and Google Gemini support. The company is promising 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches. The POCO F8 Ultra gets Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with Adreno GPU and Qualcomm AI Engine. You get a 6,700 mm2 vapor chamber for improved cooling. The phone comes in two versions: 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
As for cameras, the POCO F7 Ultra successor gets a triple camera layout, with a 50MP Light Fusion 950 sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. You’ll get a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The rear-mounted woofer with dual speakers delivers a 2.1 setup. The POCO F8 Ultra gets an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res Audio.

There’s also a low-cost POCO F8 Pro
POCO F8 Pro gets last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is still powerful enough. It has a 3D triple-layer IceLoop system for thermal efficiency and a 6,210mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. The regular Pro model gets a slightly smaller 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED LTPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla 7i, and slim bezels.
The POCO F8 Pro features a metal frame and a glass rear panel with a matte finish. Like the Ultra, you get Sound by Bose Audio, but no subwoofer. Rest, you get an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos, an IP68 rating, and eSIM support. It runs on HyperOS 3 (based on Android 16) and gets 4 years of major updates and 6 years of security patches. You get 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
Moving to cameras, the POCO F8 Pro also has a triple camera setup, with a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. There’s a 20MP shooter on the front for your selfies.
Prices and colors
The POCO F8 Ultra’s price starts at $729 for the 12GB/256GB variant and $799 for the 16GB/512GB model. As a part of the early bird offer, you can get it for $679 and $729, respectively. The phone is available in Denim Blue and Black colors.
Meanwhile, the POCO F8 Pro costs $579 for the 12GB/256GB option and $629 for the 12GB/512GB version. As a part of the early bird offer, it’ll be available for $529 and $579, respectively. You can purchase it in Black, Blue, and Titanium Silver colors.
