Rainbow Six Mobile now officially has a global launch date, although you’d be forgiven for not remembering this game even existed since Ubisoft has been pretty quiet about it with regard to major announcements. Rainbow Six Mobile has been in development for years at this point, and it’s been in testing for at least the last two. With several closed tests under its belt, Ubisoft is finally ready to release its mobile adaptation of the popular PvP tactical shooter on Android and iOS devices.

Ubisoft has confirmed several details about the launch version of the game, noting that it will have three modes to begin with, and matches will take place on maps that are inspired by the PC and console versions of the game, such as Bank, Oregon, Villa, Clubhouse, and Border. There will also be two maps that are exclusive to mobile, which are Restaurant and Summit. This is a pretty healthy collection of maps to begin with and Ubisoft will most likely add more as time goes on. Provided the game stays popular enough to keep it in active development. It wouldn’t be the first game to launch with huge levels of excitement only to be shut down a year later. As Activision did with Warzone Mobile, and is likely what led to DMZ coming to CoD: Mobile .

The Rainbow Six Mobile launch date is February 23

The wait is almost over for anyone who has been eager to give this game a try. Ubisoft says that it will launch globally on February 23 for both Android and iOS. It’s worth noting that the game is already available in soft launch across a few different regions. Ubisoft has launched the game in Canada, several countries in Latin America, France, and Poland.

Rainbow Six Mobile will be free-to-play just like its PC and console counterparts, so expect there to be microtransactions in the form of cosmetics or currency to buy cosmetics and other items. If you’ve played the PC or console version of Rainbow Six Siege, then the microtransactions should be more or less just like they are in that version of the game.

When the game arrives, it’ll have more than 20 different operators , including favorites like Dokkaebi, Ash, Mute, and several others. Ubisoft also confirms that there will be Ranked play, Quick Play, and Private matches available. As for the modes, it’ll start with Bomb, Bomb Rush, and Team Deathmatch. Rainbow Six Mobile is not Ubisoft’s only major shooter franchise on mobile devices, with The Division Resurgence available in closed testing as well, and a global launch planned for 2026.
