Realme has been hyping up its next premium smartphone, the Realme GT8 Pro, for a long time. Today, they have formally launched it in China. The Realme GT8 Pro brings some innovative features in the smartphone space, such as an interchangeable camera module and Ricoh GR camera tuning . Let’s have a closer look at its specifications and features.
Realme GT8 Pro features interchangeable camera and Ricoh GR collaboration
The most unique part of the Realme GT8 Pro is its cameras. To begin with, it brings an interchangeable camera module that lets users physically swap out the camera plate. Two small Torx screws on the side of the camera housing hold the module in place. Once removed, the camera cover can be lifted and replaced in seconds. Users can choose from square, circle, and robot-style camera cutouts. Moreover, the brand also encourages creativity by providing the 3MF model file of the camera housing, allowing users to design and 3D-print their own custom covers.

Now talking about the actual camera hardware, the Realme GT8 Pro brings a 50MP sensor with a Ricoh GR anti-glare lens . It has a 7P high-lens array and a special coating that reduces reflection to just 0.2%. Furthermore, it uses deep-absorption blue glass and double-layer AR coatings, improving light transmission up to 97%. In addition, the firm has also added a Ricoh GR Mode, which simulates the brand’s iconic 28mm and 40mm focal lengths.
The secondary lens is a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 periscope lens with a sensor size of 1/1.56″. It can record videos at 8K 30FPS and 4K 120FPS. Moreover, it includes features like Super QPD autofocus, progressive HDR, and a 25 cm telephoto close-up mode for macro shots. Lastly, the third rear lens is a 50 MP ultra-wide camera with a 116° field of view.
It brings no major compromises in other areas as well
Beyond its impressive camera specifications, the Realme GT8 Pro packs top-of-the-line specs. It is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Further, it employs a 6.79-inch 2K resolution display with a supported refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. Moreover, it has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 32MP front-facing selfie snapper. To top it off, there’s a 7,000 mAh battery with the support of 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
