After launching in China just yesterday (January 20th), Nubia is all set to bring its latest flagship, the REDMAGIC 11 Air, to global regions . There’s now a launch date. The gaming-focused device will launch internationally on January 29th at 7 AM EST. The global website of REDMAGIC also has a timer set for the launch.

The global REDMAGIC 11 Air will also get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, much like its Chinese counterpart. It also features an active airflow turbo fan, a larger optimized vapor chamber, and a graphene layer for heat dissipation during extensive gaming sessions. The listing on the official website shows that the phone will arrive in black and white shades.
For a gaming phone, the REDMAGIC 11 Air is quite light, as evident from its name. Considering the specs will be similar to the Chinese version, the phone will be 7.85mm thick and weigh 207 grams. The Nubia phone also offers a transparent design, which should add to its overall appeal. Gamers should know that the phone offers capacitive shoulder triggers.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 7,000mAh battery
The Nubia REDMAGIC 11 Air sports a rather large 6.85-inch AMOLED display with 1,216 X 2,688 pixels resolution, a 144Hz high refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. You also get an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The built-in 7,000mAh battery should let you game for longer. For charging, there’s 120W wired charging support, which is quite fast.
The Nubia phone runs on the latest Android 16 OS with RedMagic OS 11 skin on top. It comes in two configurations: 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM + 256GB UFS 4.1 storage and 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM + 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. For added durability, you get an IP54 rating against dust and water splashes.
In terms of photography, the REDMAGIC 11 Air features a dual-rear camera setup, with a 50MP primary sensor with a 1/1.55-inch sensor and OIS support. You also get an 8MP ultrawide camera. The phone has a 16MP under-display selfie snapper.
It remains to be seen whether the REDMAGIC 11 Air global variant will share the same specs as the Chinese variant or if there will be any differences.
