After teasing earlier this month , Nubia has finally launched the REDMAGIC 11 Air in China. The “Air” in its name hints at an impressive battery capacity-lightweight ratio in this gaming-centric phone. The phone features a transparent design, with a big REDMAGIC logo sitting to the right of the camera cutout. Nubia has included an active cooling fan, paired with cool RGB lighting for the gaming vibe.
REDMAGIC 11 Air’s display, processor and other specs
As far as specs are concerned, the REDMAGIC 11 Air comes with a 6.85-inch AMOLED display , featuring a 1,216 × 2,688 pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is also durable, thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The device is 7.85mm thick and weighs 207 grams. Not to forget, you also get an optical fingerprint scanner.
Despite having a lightweight and thin design, the smartphone includes a cooling fan that spins at up to 24,000 RPM. So, you are sorted for longer gaming sessions. Only time will tell whether the cooling fan does the job of curbing the heat. Worth noting is that the REDMAGIC 11 Air also comes with an IP54 rating against dust and water splashes. Since it’s a gaming smartphone, you also get capacitive shoulder triggers built in.
Under the hood, Nubia is using last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for top-notch performance. On the software front, the REDMAGIC 11 Air boots Android 16-based REDMAGIC OS 11 out of the box. The device comes in two different variants, with the base model featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, whereas the beefiest model features 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. More importantly, the company is using LPDDR5X Ultra RAM with 9,600 MB/s memory bandwidth and UFS 4.1 storage, offering up to 4,200 MB/s read speeds.

Dual rear-camera setup, paired with a big 7,000mAh battery & multiple color options
The REDMAGIC 11 Air sports a dual rear camera setup, including a 23mm 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor and OIS support. The main camera sits alongside the 8MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, the new smartphone has a 16MP under-display front-facing camera. Speaking of power, the REDMAGIC 11 Air packs a 7,000mAh battery and supports 120W fast wired charging.
As far as pricing and availability are concerned, the base variant, with a 12GB/256GB configuration, starts at CNY 3,499 (~$502). While the beefier model, featuring 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, will set you back by CNY 4,199 (~$602). Moreover, this smartphone is available in three different colors: Quantum Black, Stardust White, and Aurora Silver.
However, Nubia’s online store is currently only selling the Quantum Black and Stardust White variants. It’s unclear when the Aurora Silver will go up for sale. This particular variant uses orange accents across the buttons and other parts of the device. You can check the images of all the colors and designs of the REDMAGIC 11 Air in the carousel below.
