Samsung is running a little late with the rollout of Android 16-powered One UI 8 for its flagship. The actual testing of the new software started earlier in May, which was well ahead of schedule. But after that, the pace has slowed down. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25 devices are now getting the fifth beta update of the One UI 8.

Galaxy S25 and S24 get One UI Beta 5 with August Patch and Bug Fixes

After the rollout of the third beta build, the updates are being rolled out at a slower pace for the Galaxy devices. The fourth beta took almost a month before reaching the device. And now, after nearly three weeks, we have the beta 5 build of the One UI 8 being rolled out to Galaxy S25 and S24 series users.

The beta 5 update comes with the firmware version ZYH6 . It weighs around 1.7GB in size. As for the changelog, it brings fixes to multiple known issues, such as the moon appearing purple at 100X zoom, do not disturb mode’s issue, hotspot connect error, and much more. Alongside this, the latest August 2025 security patch has been added. You can refer to the complete changelog below:
