Yes, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will launch on February 25, as a recent rumor suggested. The information has still not been confirmed, but we have the next best thing. Evan Blass, one of the best-known tipsters, has confirmed the info . He said that he’s 100% sure of it.

A well-known tipster has just confirmed the Samsung Galaxy S26 series launch date

We have no reason to doubt Evan, so there you go. Unlike the Galaxy S25 series, which arrived in January last year, the company’s flagships for this year will launch towards the end of February.

Why the delay? Well, Samsung did decide to ditch the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge rather late, and switch back to the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ (in addition to the Galaxy S26 Ultra).

That could have something to do with the delay. We’re only guessing, of course. The Galaxy S26 Edge could still launch at some point , though, but it won’t be a part of the main Galaxy S26 series that is coming in February.

The event will probably take place in San Francisco

The event is allegedly happening in San Francisco, that’s the detail we’ve heard several times thus far. Evan did not mention it, but that’s probably where the global press conference will be held.

We’ve revealed the design fo the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra quite early, while the Galaxy S26 ended up posing next to the Galaxy S26 Ultra quite recently. We do know what all three phones will end up looking like.

They’ll be quite similar to their predecessors, though with a slight change in the rear camera design and corner curvature. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will actually look more similar to the other phones than its predecessors did.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is tipped to fuel the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The other two phones are said to utilize a dual-chip approach, with both the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600. Different markets will have a different chip included.
