One of the things that was missing at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 event was the company’s tri-fold smartphone. We’re still waiting for Samsung to make the official announcement, but ahead of that, we have more details on the device. According to a report from SammyGuru, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will get some unique multitasking features .

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold to get unique multitasking features

Now, obviously one of the benefits of owning and using a foldable phone is for its larger display. This makes it more enjoyable to browse websites, play games, and watch videos. However, it also makes it better for productivity. According to the report, the Galaxy Z TriFold might get some multitasking features that could be unique to it.

For starters, and in case it wasn’t already obvious, the phone will allow users to run three apps side by side. This basically takes advantage of the triple display. This means that you can run three apps at the same time, so you could be checking your emails, browsing the web, and editing a document, all at the same time.

Next, another feature could be borrowed from the regular dual screen Galaxy Z Fold series . This comes in the form of cover screen mirroring. At the moment, the feature lets you have independent home screens for each display. With the Galaxy Z TriFold, you could do the same. However, it is still unclear if you could mirror all three homepages, so we’ll have to wait and see.

Still no word on launch yet

While Samsung has confirmed the existence of the phone , the company has not said when it will launch. Samsung has indicated it will launch by the end of the year, but when exactly, that remains to be seen.

So far, based on what we know, the phone could feature hardware similar to the Galaxy S25 series . This includes the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is also expected to come with Android 16 out of the box and it will get seven years of Android OS and security updates.

That being said, don’t expect it to come cheap. The rumors claim it could as much as $3,000. That’s quite a ridiculous price to pay for a phone, but it seems that Samsung doesn’t want to let Huawei have all the fun .
