Samsung has finally opened its beta program for One UI 8.5 . The upgraded software skin introduces a major round of improvements and added features. One of the most notable refinements in the One UI 8.5 is the addition of new Samsung Health features, such as a meds tracking tool, smartwatch upgrades, and a new sharing experience.

One UI 8.5 beta reveals new meds track tool on Samsung Health

The beta version of the One UI 8.5 adds more depth to weekly reports in Samsung Health. Users will receive a clearer view of their activity, sleep, and workout habits. Early testers have reported a new medication tracking feature and mindfulness sessions. The data from these tools will also be utilized to draw a clearer picture of the user’s overall health.

Those who are on medication will be able to utilize the new feature and see their routine integrated more naturally into the report. This may also help them to stay more organized and understand the long-term effects of their current health habits. In a nutshell, Samsung wants to change how its users consume information from its Health app.

Smartwatch tools and several new capabilities are on the way

Apart from the aforementioned features, Samsung has also refined the way workout session information can be shared. Until now, users have only been able to share certain stats with friends and family. But with the coming version, they will be able to mix and match selected data with photos from their sessions. This will make it easier for the users to highlight any achievement or to record their progress.

Further, Samsung Health has gained new smartwatch functionality. With the One UI 8.5 , users will be able to start medications directly from the wrist. This eliminates the need to pull out the phone during busy moments to track the progress. The update also adds antioxidant level measurements for the Galaxy Watch line, though the feature is exclusive to the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
