Samsung is expanding its Mobile Gaming Hub platform to Europe and bringing more ways to game in the cloud to more people across the globe. Similar to the Gaming Hub you can find on Samsung’s TVs and monitors , the Mobile Gaming Hub for its Galaxy smartphones lets you access a wide variety of mobile games through internet connectivity, and all without having to download a single game file. No downloads, no installations. Just launching the game and playing in the cloud.
Samsung’s Mobile Gaming Hub has already been available to users in the US for quite some time. So, it’s not exactly brand-new. However, it wasn’t really available outside of the US. Now, Samsung is bringing it to new regions after the continued success of the platform over the past year.
Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub will start small with its expansion into Europe
The rollout of the platform begins this week, but it’s starting small. That means it could be a while before it reaches a wider European audience. To kick things off, Samsung says it’s rolling out Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub to users in the UK and Germany. All you’ll need if you want to try it out is a Samsung Galaxy device. Specifically, a newer one, though it won’t necessarily need to be from the last two Galaxy S lines. Samsung doesn’t mention which models this will be available on. Just that it will be pre-loaded on Galaxy devices.
In addition to the European rollout, Samsung is turning Mobile Gaming Hub into a one-stop shop for all things gaming on mobile. The company says that it’s centralizing gaming on Galaxy devices. Meaning, Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub will be more than just a destination to find games you can play in the cloud. It should also end up being a place for everything gaming-related on mobile. Including games that are installed on the device from places like the Galaxy Store .
Samsung says a full reveal is set for later this year. So, there are more details about this overhaul to the platform that are being kept a secret for now. That being said, Samsung has offered up a bit more detail. Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub will also eventually include the ability to watch gameplay content and engage with in-game communities.
