Samsung is no stranger when it comes to robot vacuums. However, the company is hoping its next robot vacuum will be the ultimate solution for your home. Ahead of IFA 2025 , which takes place next month, Samsung has taken the wraps off its new Bespoke AI Jet Bot Stream Ultra robot vacuum.

Meet the new Samsung Ultra robot vacuum

Now, most robot vacuum cleaners come with built-in cameras. These cameras, combined with various sensors like LiDAR , are what help the robots navigate around your home, detect objects or obstacles, and so on. However, Samsung is using the camera in its Ultra robot vacuum to also act as a home monitoring device .

According to Samsung , the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra uses a built-in camera for cleaning and supports home monitoring via SmartThings. If you’re worried about the camera recording things in your home, Samsung is using its Knox platform to protect user data. For those unfamiliar, Knox provides multi-layered security and encrypted communications.

This also marks the first time that Samsung is adding Knox Vault to home appliances. This helps to isolate sensitive information, like passwords, in dedicated hardware. Samsung is also using the Knox Matrix Trust Chain, which uses blockchain tech, to monitor the security status of connected devices.

As for the actual effectiveness of the robot vacuum for cleaning, it uses steam sanitization. This helps with deeper cleaning. Also, since AI is the buzzword of the season, Samsung is leveraging the tech for object recognition.

Achieving Diamond status

One of the things Samsung is highlighting is how its new robot vacuum has achieved a “Diamond” rating from UL Solutions under the Marketing Claim Verification IoT Security Rating Program. This marks the third time a Samsung home appliance in 2025 has achieved that level.

So, what does that mean? The rankings consist of five levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. To achieve Diamond, products must “successfully detect and block malicious software, prevent unauthorized access and anonymize user data.” Whether or not that matters to you depends on your needs and preferences, but the added reassurance doesn’t hurt. Samsung has not mentioned how much its new vacuum will cost. We’ll have to wait for IFA for those details.
