“Elevating this next-level viewing experience, Vision AI Companion uses AI technology to work alongside users as a full entertainment companion to enhance viewing, dining, and mood, anywhere in the home,” Samsung says. Samsung says the companion tool can give users guidance on what to watch, what to eat, and what to listen to so that the entire experience is enhanced. Improving the user’s mood is a part of this, too. So the idea is you get guidance on what food might pair well with a particular piece of content you want to watch, while specific background music can lift the experience and improve your mood as well.
The Samsung Vision AI Companion is only part of the experience
In addition to the Vision AI Companion, Samsung is also announcing new AI-powered viewing modes to personalize the viewing experience. Samsung says there’s an AI Soccer Mode Pro that tunes sound and picture quality to elevate to stadium-level quality. In the same way, there’s an AI Sound Controller Pro to adjust the volume of various elements from a game you might be watching.
For example, this feature could allow you to lower the volume of the crowd for a game where they’re considerably louder than anything else. Or you could adjust both the crowd and music volume to be lower so you can better hear the commentary. Maybe you’d rather hear the crowd, so it matches your hype and excitement. These new AI-enhanced features are aimed at improving the overall TV experience in several ways. But Samsung didn’t just stop with the TV.
Your smart appliances will be able to guide you through your day
For those who own a Samsung AI-powered refrigerator, Samsung’s new Home Companion upgrade is going to make things more convenient. The company says it’ll be able to guide you through your day. So, just imagine it reminding you to pick up something from the store or handing you a recipe idea.
The upgrade to AI Vision is powered by Google Gemini . Samsung says it hasseveral capabilities, but some more basic options include recognizing food items and tracking what you place into or take out of the fridge. With this information, it can give you ideas for recipes, help you with meal planning, and more. There’s even a randomized version of the recipe suggestions called ‘What’s For Today.’ Samsung says this can provide random recommendations for meals based on what’s in the fridge. This is only available on select fridge models, however.
