Using a phone’s camera for filmmaking and shooting high-quality video would have been a pipedream 10 years ago, but thanks to advancements in mobile camera sensors and accessories like ShiftCam Gear’s new ProRig for Apple iPhones , that’s no longer the case. This week at CES 2026 , ShiftCam Gear is introducing two new products for the iPhone filmmaker to make it even easier to put out high-quality production.
The ProRig is a new compact iPhone cage filmmaking rig hybrid, and the Pro-Grade Filter System, the second product, is a series of filters intended to maintain quality and clarity without obstructing the MagSafe zone . Each of these products aims to raise the bar for filmmakers using iPhones and promises to blend the worlds of mobility and pro-level quality.

ShiftCam Gear’s ProRig will fit iPhone 15 through iPhone 17
Sometimes these types of accessories are made for one single device, or one series of devices. In this case, however, ShiftCam Gear has ensured that the ProRig will fit multiple iPhone models, promising compatibility with the iPhone 15 through the iPhone 17 .
The rig uses interchangeable inserts to fit the intended device, all while ensuring that the USB-C port and the MagSafe zone aren’t obstructed. This will allow creators to use the ProRig while also still keeping those other parts free for extra storage (like ShiftCam Gear’s recently announced new Planck SSDs), and MagSafe power banks for additional charging.
It also comes with three cold-shoe mounts, several tripod threads for mounting, and dual detachable Bluetooth remotes that can be used in either the left or right hands. As for the Pro-Grade Filter System, these filters attach magnetically to the iPhone’s camera system on the back, making attaching and detaching as easy as could be.
“Each filter is crafted with cinema-grade precision glass and multi-layer coatings that enhance clarity, reduce reflections, maintain color accuracy, and resist scratches, water, and oils,” ShiftCam Gear says. The company says there will be three tools for the Filter System at launch. These include a Circular Polarizer for cutting reflections and boosting contrast, a Variable ND (1–5 & 6–10 Stops) for controlling exposure and cinematic shutter speeds, and the Black Mist for softening highlights with a “subtle, filmic glow.” The ProRig will be available sometime in Q2 for $149, and the Pro-Grade Filter System is available now, ranging in price from $79 to $159.
