The OnePlus 15 managed to get a lot of attention since launch, as OnePlus once again did a great job, as you can see in our review . With that being said, the company is also working on a smaller flagship, the OnePlus 15T/15s, and its specs have just surfaced .
The information comes from the OnePlus Club, though the source notes that the specs are based on internal testing and haven’t been finalized yet. So something could still change, keep that in mind.
The OnePlus 15T leak hints at very powerful specs and a large battery
Based on this information, the OnePlus 15T will feature a 6.31-inch 1.5K OLED display (BOE X3) with a 165Hz refresh rate. The phone will be fueled by the same chip as the OnePlus 15, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 .
Two cameras will sit on the back, though interestingly enough, OnePlus decided to ditch the ultrawide camera. This time around, we’ll get a main shooter, along with a telephoto shooter, and yours truly approves this. I personally find the (periscope) telephoto camera far more useful than an ultrawide one.
A telephoto camera could replace the ultrawide one
A 50-megapixel (Sony’s IMX906 sensor) or a 200-megapixel (ISOCELL HP5 sensor) main camera will be used. The Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor will be used in the telephoto camera (50x digital zoom).
This phone will have a huge battery. The OnePlus 13T included a 6,260mAh battery, which was more than enough for its size. That phone offered outstanding battery life. Well, OnePlus will push things even further with its successor.
The OnePlus 15T is rumored to include a 7,500mAh battery, approximately. If that ends up being the case, it will have approximately the same battery size as its larger sibling. It will be a silicon-carbon battery, of course.
It will support extremely fast charging, but no wireless charging
Speaking of which, this phone will also support fast charging, but no wireless charging. 100W or 120W wired charging will be supported.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 13T did not make its way to most markets. It was re-launched as the OnePlus 13s in India, but the US and Europe did not get it, and the same goes for almost all other markets. We’re hoping things will be different with the new model.
