It wasn’t too long ago that Sony released the Xperia 1 VII , its latest flagship smartphone. Unfortunately, the price of the phone and its issues leave much to be desired . The leaked specs and renders of the upcoming Sony Xperia 10 VII were initially spotted on a listing on xtramallhk, an online retailer. We have to say that if these renders are accurate, we’re totally digging the new look.
Sony has always designed pretty decent-looking smartphones. With the Xperia 10 VI, the company opted for a vertical camera placement. This is more or less standard practice for most smartphones. However, these newly leaked renders suggest that Sony might go the same way as Google’s Pixel phones with a horizontal orientation.
Also, the color options look interesting. For starters, the phone will be offered in black/grey and white, but the renders now suggest we can look forward to a green finish as well. It looks borderline fun. We’re not sure what the phone could look like in real life, but the renders do look pretty good.
What about the hardware?
In terms of specs, the listing suggests that the Xperia 10 VII will come with a 6.1-inch OLED FHD+ display. It will also pack a 50MP main camera and a 13MP sub-camera, with an 8MP front-facing shooter. Also, the rumors claim the phone could feature a 5,000mAh battery. As for its chipset of choice, under the hood, the Xperia 10 VII will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
Honestly, save for the colors, it’s not the most exciting phone we’ve seen. However, it is supposed to be a mid-ranger so the focus should be more on its value. We don’t have a date on when the phone will launch, but last we heard, October is a possibility .
