As we move close to the end of the year, annual recap traditions are here. After YouTube, now it’s Spotify’s turn with its Wrapped 2025. The company claims this year is the biggest yet . This brings your most listened to song, your total time listened, and your favorite artist. There’s also the 2025 Wrapped playlist that shows how many times you listened to each of your top 100 audio tracks this year. This information is shareable via social media. Besides the usual stuff, there are a lot of new things this time, including Wrapped Party.
Spotify claims Wrapped 2025 is its biggest
A wrapped Party is an interactive experience that allows you to invite up to nine friends to compare listening stats. While this isn’t changing what you’ve already listened to, it’s still something new. In a way, this turns listening to music into a competition. As a part of this, you’ll receive individual awards like “The Onion Chopper” for listening to the saddest songs.
Your friend group will be judged based on how well your tastes line up. There’s “Copy and Paste” when your listening habits are almost identical and “Chaos Crew” when you don’t share a single artist in common. The feature also presents unique data stories for your group, like who’s the “most obsessed fan”, the “early bird,” and the most “picky listener.” Spotify says that these awards update dynamically every time you join a Wrapped Party. This means no two sessions are ever the same.

The Wrapped Party is an interactive experience
There’s also the interactive song quiz and top artist sprint, which shows how your top five artists changed month by month. The company will also be highlighting top albums for the first time. In the past, Wrapped only focused on individual songs and on artists or genres. Wrapped 2025 will also highlight your top audiobook genres for the first time.
Two new features that offer insight into your listening habits are Clubs and Listening Age. The former will group you into one of six unique listening styles. Meanwhile, the Listening Age compares your 2025 music listening to others in your age group. The feature considers the release years of the tracks you listen to most. After going through your listening habits, it says, “You listen to the music of a 70-year-old,” even if you’re much younger.

Spotify Wrapped 2025 will highlight top albums for the first time
Besides the interactive experiences, Wrapped 2025 is also about Spotify itself. Bad Bunny was the most-streamed artist in the world. This is the fourth time he’s come out on top in the past five years. He also had the most popular album of the year. The global top song is Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ duet “Die With a Smile.” The top podcast is The Joe Rogan Experience.
