AYANEO has unveiled a new handheld today called the KONKR Fit, and it’s a Windows-based handheld from its sub-brand KONKR. This is reportedly KONKR’s first Windows handheld, which makes it a big deal for AYANEO, and that makes it intriguing for customers, because KONKR is supposed to be a brand from AYANEO that focuses more on value-based hardware. It’s a much different device from AYANEO’s upcoming smartphone , but it’s more in line with what the company is known for, which is handhelds.
This means consumers could have a really affordable option for Windows handhelds with the KONKR Fit when it finally arrives on the market. That’s not something that’s currently available for the most part, unless you look at older hardware. The alternative is going with something like the Steam Deck or Steam OS version of the Legion Go S , which is affordable, but it doesn’t natively run Windows. With the KONKR Fit, there’s the possibility that consumers will finally have a Windows handheld option that won’t cost them an arm and a leg.
The KONKR Fit handheld doesn’t have a price or a launch date yet
As is typical with AYANEO’s announcements, it hasn’t yet revealed the price of the KONKR Fit. KONKR is a value-focused sub-brand, so it should be mostly reasonable when it comes to price. That being said, nothing has been confirmed at this time. AYANEO tends to announce full details, including price, considerably later than the initial announcement. It could be weeks before those details are revealed.
AYANEO does mention a few details, however. The company says that the KONKR Fit is a handheld that is focused mostly on battery life. This device comes with an 80Wh battery, and that’s a pretty good size. The key thing to take note of is that AYANEO refers to this as a battery-first device. So, it’s clearly taking a big approach to the playtime longevity.
In addition to the battery details, AYANEO confirms that it’s running on an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 APU, and it has a 7-inch OLED display. This is the same APU powering the MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro Mini PC announced at CES. This is where the specs details end for the time being. It’s not a lot to go off of, but more information on this device will no doubt surface soon enough.
