After foldables, the smartphone market hopped on to the trend of slim phones last year. Brands like Samsung and Apple gave their first shot at it with the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air. Speaking of Chinese brands, HONOR is also planning to launch the Magic8 Pro Air later this month. Now, Nubia, another Chinese brand, is all set to launch its slim phone. The device in question is the REDMAGIC 11 Air. As the January 20 launch is approaching, Nubia has confirmed some of the specs, design, and color options of the REDMAGIC 11 Air.
REDMAGIC offers first look at design and colors of the new 11 Air
As the name suggests, the REDMAGIC 11 Air is lauching as a slim phone. The phone reportedly measures 7.85 mm in thickness . Speaking of display specs, the REDMAGIC 11 Air will feature a 6.85-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that comes with a 144Hz screen refresh rate. The device is said to offer a 95.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, 2,592Hz PWM dimming, and 1.25mm thin bezels. There’s also an under-display selfie camera.
At the back, the REDMAGIC 11 Air houses a curved rear transparent panel featuring the REDMAGIC logo. The curved design at the back appears to offer a better grip and would be handy during prolonged use. As seen in the images below, the phone features a triple rear camera setup. However, Nubia has been mum about the camera specs of the REDMAGIC 11 Air. We hope to get some details as we near the launch.
Under the hood, the REDMAGIC 11 Air may use the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC to offer top-notch performance. It comes paired with up to 24GB of RAM. The phone will reportedly also feature a thick 4D Ice-Step vapor chamber, a Red Core R4 esports chip, and an active cooling fan. Nubia’s REDMAGIC lineup usually caters to mobile gamers, which is why the company isn’t compromising on performance with this one, too.

Color options, battery, and charging
In terms of power, the REDMAGIC 11 Air will use a 7,000mAh battery, along with 120W fast wired charging support. Moreover, the phone will be available in three color options : Aurora Silver, Stardust White, and Quantum Black. Do note that Nubia is offering the Aurora Silver model with orange accents, whereas the other two include a red power button. There’s no information on the pricing of the device yet.
As a side note, this isn’t the first device launched in 2026 under REDMAGIC branding. At the start of the month, Nubia launched the Golden Saga editions of the REDMAGIC 11 Pro+ and REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 3 Pro in China.
