Owning a pool usually comes with a never-ending to-do list. But the latest announcement from Beatbot suggests that keeping the water crystal clear might soon require a lot less effort. At the ongoing CES 2026 , Beatbot unveiled the Sora 70, a robotic pool cleaner designed with submarine technology that can handle the chores that most automated vacuums simply skip.
Beatbot Sora 70: New robotic pool cleaner with surface skimming tech
Most pool robots only clean the floor, so you’ll have to use a net to clean the top. The Sora 70 changes that with a special system called JetPulse. This dual-flow jet technology makes currents that point floating debris, like pollen, bugs, and leaves, right into the suction inlet. The robot stops these particles from sinking and rotting on the pool floor by catching them while they are still floating. This makes the water stay cleaner for a longer time.
No more “dead spots,” submarine tech
If you have a pool with shallow ledges, tanning ledges, or wide steps, you probably know that standard robots often get stuck or ignore these areas entirely. The Sora 70 features a balanced “HydroBalance” design that allows it to navigate water as shallow as eight inches.
This flexibility makes sure it cleans those hard-to-reach algae-prone spots that manual cleaners often miss. It can lift anything from fine sand to big piles of leaves because it can suck up 6,800 gallons of water per hour. It has a six-liter bin that is twice the size of a normal cleaner’s bin to hold that much trash.
One of the most frustrating parts of owning a pool robot is hauling a heavy, waterlogged machine out of the deep end. Beatbot took inspiration from submarine engineering to solve this. When the Sora 70 finishes its cycle, it uses internal floating chambers to rise to the surface. Once it reaches the top, it automatically drains its internal water. This makes the unit significantly lighter, allowing you to lift it out of the water without breaking a sweat or making a mess.

The device runs on a 10,000 mAh battery, which is plenty of power for even larger residential pools. On a single charge, it can skim the surface for seven hours or scrub the floors and walls for five. It is designed to cover pools up to 3,230 square feet, making it a solid fit for medium to large backyards.

We are still waiting on the exact price tag for the Beatbot Sora 70. Meanwhile, the company is positioning it as a high-performance option for those who want a “hands-off” experience without the complexity of ultra-premium industrial models. You can expect to see it hit the market in the spring of 2026, just in time for pool season.
