A new robotic pet has landed at CES 2026 , and this one comes from Vbot . It’s called the Vbot Companion Robotic Dog. The company says it’s “designed to move seamlessly through everyday environments alongside families.”

The Vbot Companion Robotic Dog operates with genuine autonomy

The company also notes that this robot dog operates with genuine autonomy in shared human spaces. It’s supposed to mimic a real dog. It can “perceive its surroundings, make decisions, and act independently in the physical world.”

Vbot says that it’s supposed to function as an outdoor companion too, in addition to being all-day household assistant, safety guardian, and family helper.

The principle the company used is “Made To Be Near.” It is engineered for close interaction in everyday human environments. It features a fully rounded boy with no sharp edges and pinch-free joints.

All contact surfaces are covered and protected. That should give you peace of mind around children and real-life pets. The dog is supposed to have lifelike movement as well. A 594Wh battery supports approximately five hours of active use, says Vbot.

It has three distinct layers of intelligence

The Vbot robotic pet integrates three distinct layers of intelligence, says Vbot. The first is ontological intelligence, which prioritizes safe movements through shared human spaces. Spatial intelligence enables independent operation with entirely on-device processing, helped by LiDAR-based perception and a four-microphone array. The last layer is agent intelligence. It represents the ability to translate understanding into autonomous action.

Vbot said that the Vbot Companion Robotic Dog will become available soon, but not in this quarter. It’s expected to go on sale in Q2 2026, so somewhere between start of April and end of June. The design of the Vbot Companion Robotic Dog is typical for robotic dogs, at least generally speaking.
