Galaxy Buds 4 lineup could feature a new design and battery updates

According to leaks, Galaxy Buds 4 series earbuds will offer a refreshed design. They will offer a curvier, more compact design while keeping the stem shape of the Galaxy Buds 3 series. Samsung has reportedly also redesigned the charging case for the upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 models.

The case could sit flat instead of standing vertically, which will make it easier for users to open and take in/out the buds. The brand is also dropping the Blade Lights found on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Despite featuring a smaller step, the new earbuds could potentially offer an improved battery life.

Any details about the audio improvements on the Galaxy Buds 4 series are a mystery right now. We’ll know soon enough next month, on February 25, when Samsung launches them with the Galaxy S26 series of flagship phones.

Samsung’s upcoming wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, will likely launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series next year. But plenty of details about the new earbuds are out in the wild. Now, a new leak has revealed the battery capacity of the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 series’ battery capacity hinted in fresh leak

Earlier today, folks over at Android Authority spotted the battery capacity of the upcoming wireless earbuds in the One UI 8.5’s code references. Per the news outlet, the Galaxy Buds 4 come with a 42mAh battery. Whereas the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will include a 57mAh battery .

In comparison, the non-Pro variant is getting a slightly lower battery capacity than its predecessor. To catch you up, the Galaxy Buds 3 ship with a 48mAh battery. Meanwhile, the battery capacity of the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro sees a bump compared to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The latter comes with a battery capacity of 53mAh. Even though the “Pro” model gets a bigger battery, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, which comes with 61mAh battery, still beats it.

It remains to be seen if the increased battery capacity, compared to the predecessor, will make any difference in the battery life. That’s because the components inside the wireless earbuds make much of a difference when it comes to battery efficiency.

Previously leaked details of the “Pro” model

Last month, the design and images of the “Pro” model surfaced online. Based on those leaks, we can tell that the Galaxy Buds Pro come with a better design, accompanied by a new metal grille. Not only does it make the earbuds look visually appealing, but it also adds some sturdiness to them. Reports have also hinted that its charging case may also help you find your phone with a button press . At this point, the price tag of both the wireless earbuds remains under wraps. But, as we approach the launch, we expect to know more about it.
