Smartphones these days are so expensive. A foldable like the Pixel 10 Pro Fold or the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will cost you close to $2,000. But if you’re willing to spend more, then Vertu’s got you covered. The company has recently announced its latest smartphone, the Vertu Agent Q , a luxury AI agentic smartphone.

Vertu Agent Q – AI meets luxury

As expected from Vertu, the Agent Q continues with the company’s signature design of using luxury materials. It uses a variety of materials you might find in high-end fashion brands such as crocodile leather, gold detailing, stainless steel components, and more.

It also comes with Vertu’s signature concierge service , where with a press of the “Ruby Key” button on the side of the phone, you’ll be connected to a team of over 200 people ready at your beck and call, providing services like booking flights, finding tables at restaurants, and so on.

Now, clearly this isn’t a phone that is aimed at the mass market. In fact, the company says there are only 27 bespoke units available, and they’re exclusive to Harrods in London. In terms of price, be prepared to sell your kidneys. According to Vertu , customers can expect to pay anywhere between $12,880 to $18,800 for it.

But it’s not just for show

While it might be easy to dismiss Vertu’s latest mobile efforts as just a fancy, blinged up smartphone, there are actually some features and hardware components that are interesting. For starters, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite “Supreme.” This is essentially the higher-binned version of the chipset.

It also boasts a 6.02-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB in storage. But what’s interesting is that the phone features a dedicated hardware encryption chip. This means that if you’re a high networth individual that needs to protect company trade secrets, this phone will keep it under lock and key.

Secondly, Vertu is positioning the phone as an AI agent phone. This means that instead of relying on a multitude of individual apps, you can rely on agentic AI to get the job done. We haven’t tried it out for ourselves so we have no idea how well it works. However, it is an interesting idea, but pulling it off is a different story.

The phone also boasts a triple camera setup with a 50MP main, a 64MP telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide. Last but not least, it packs a 5,565mAh battery with 65W wired charging.
