The Vivo X300 Pro is one of the best camera smartphones on the market at the moment. We chose this phone as our pick for the best camera phone of 2025. The Vivo X300 Pro also managed to fly high in DXOMARK’s rankings, as it’s second-placed on the company’s list.

The Vivo X300 Pro cameras have received high praise from DXOMARK

DXOMARK reviewed the Vivo X300 Pro’s cameras , and it’s now second only to the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra on that list. Granted, DXOMARK did not review all the flagship camera phones out there, but still.

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra reached 175 points in the camera department, while the Vivo X300 Pro has 171 points. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is third-placed with 168 points, the same as the iPhone 17 Pro. The OPPO Find X9 Pro has not been reviewed by DXOMARK just yet.

Another Vivo phone is 5th-placed, the Vivo X200 Ultra, while the HONOR Magic 8 Pro took the 6th place. You can check out a full list of DXOMARK’s picks for best camera phones here .

There are a lot of positives here

When it comes to the Vivo X300 Pro, the company had plenty of good things to say about the phone. There are some ‘cons’ as well, though. Let’s talk about the positives first, shall we?

DXOMARK praised the target exposure on the phone, by saying it’s accurate and stable with a wide dynamic range. That goes for both photo and video modes, by the way.

Skin tone rendering was also praised, as it’s “pleasant with neutral white balance in photo and video.” DXOMARK also said that the phone provides a high level of detail in all conditions, with nearly no visible noise in photo mode.

Tele zoom also has good details, while the bokeh mode is excellent. Efficient stabilization in video mode was also mentioned as one of the positives.

DXOMARK did highlight some ‘cons’ as well

What about the ‘cons’? Well, DXOMARK said that skin tones on the deep model can be a bit unnatural and slightly too bright. Unnatural details rendering can be visible as well, especially in low light.

Contrast issues were mentioned when it comes to strong backlit scenes. Some slight white balance casts are sometimes visible. Texture artifacts, such as scene integrity, can be visible in very challenging conditions.

DXOMARK also mentioned artifacts such as ghosting and color fringing, which are sometimes noticeable. Ultrawide field of view is not wide enough, according to the company.
