The Vivo X200 and Vivo X300 series smartphones are regarded as being some of the best camera smartphones on the market. Well, a new member of the Vivo X300 series is coming, and it’s planning to put great focus on color accuracy . Yes, we’re talking about the Vivo X300 Ultra.
The Vivo X300 Ultra aims to provide great color accuracy thanks to a custom multispectral sensor
Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters out there, just shared some new information. He claims that the Vivo X300 Ultra will feature a 5-megapixel multispectral sensor on the back, which will help the phone offer the best possible color accuracy.
That will be a custom multispectral camera sensor, and it’s Vivo’s highest-resolution multispectral sensor yet. It will help improve color accuracy in both photo and video. It can improve color accuracy in general, skin tones, and also white balance, amongst other things.
The Vivo X300 Ultra is also expected to have an outstanding camera setup in general. Its predecessor still has some of the most complete camera hardware. This one is looking to take things to the next level.
This phone is expected to pack in top-notch camera hardware
A 200-megapixel main camera is rumored, Sony’s brand new LYT-901 camera sensor . That is a 1/1.12-inch camera sensor, and it packs in a ton of new tech. In addition to that, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera is expected.
We’re not sure which sensor will the company use for that 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, though. We wish to think it’s OmniVision’s new 200-megapixel camera sensor , though that may be a bit too optimistic. Vivo could end up going to ISOCELL for that camera.
The Vivo X200 Ultra has arguably the best ultrawide camera in the market, so we’re hoping that the Vivo X300 Ultra will continue that tradition. In fact, the Vivo X200 Ultra uses the same camera sensor for its periscope telephoto and ultrawide cameras.
If the company ends up pulling that off with the Vivo X300 Ultra, the ultrawide camera definitely won’t feel like an afterthought, which is the case for many phones out there. The Vivo X300 Ultra is rumored to launch in April, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.
