How hydrated do you think you are? Do you think you drink enough water everyday? Well, now there’s no need to wonder because at CES 2026 , the folks at Vivoo have announced their latest product in the form of a smart toilet .
Vivoo smart toilet detects your hydration levels
Even without a smart toilet, it’s relatively easy to tell if you’re properly hydrated. This comes in the form of the color of your pee. Generally speaking, the darker your pee, the less hydrated you are. However, this doesn’t mean that crystal clear pee is good either. That could be a sign of overhydration.
Basically, according to health experts , what you’re aiming for (pun intended) is a straw-colored pee. Nothing too dark, but not crystal clear either. That’s one way to go about determining if you’ve been drinking enough water throughout the day. However, Vivoo thinks that this could be improved upon with its new smart toilet product.
This is basically a sensor that sits inside your toilet bowl and collects samples of your pee when you go to the bathroom. The sample is then tested and the results will be sent back to your phone via the accompanying app. This is actually not the first time Vivoo has created a product that tests your pee.
However, the difference is that Vivoo’s previous offering relied on the use of a reactive testing strip. This newer version seems cleaner and more efficient. The company also claims that the built-in battery is good for more than 1,000 measurements before it needs to be recharged. And no, thankfully the battery pack sits outside the toilet bowl so you don’t have to worry about dirtying your hands to charge it.
How much will it cost?
If you’re interested in monitoring your health, which includes your pee quality, the Vivoo smart toilet is retailing for $99. However, this is an early bird special and is expected to ship out in March. However, if you wait too long, the price will eventually go up to $129. You’ll also have to pay an additional $6 a month for the subscription service.
