This removes the need for tools or weatherproofing. Wyze includes a large black bezel integrated into the mount to combat internal glare and reflections, ensuring a cleaner feed. Wyze Window Cam uses f/1.0 aperture for glare-free color night
The key selling point of the Wyze Window Cam is its strategy for low-light performance. Since placing standard infrared (IR) or LED lighting behind a pane of glass causes severe reflections, Wyze removed these completely.
Instead, it relies on an Enhanced Color Night Vision system that leverages an exceptionally wide f/1.0 aperture and an advanced sensor. This design maximizes the capture of minimal ambient light available. In other words, the camera can produce vivid, color-enhanced 1080P HD footage in near darkness. This is a significant improvement over the monochrome and grainy video traditional indoor cameras produce when pointed outside.
Wyze’s Window Cam provides a 101-degree horizontal field of view. Users can record continuously by supplying their own MicroSD card up to 512GB, bypassing any required subscription fee. Cloud storage and advanced features like AI-generated motion descriptions, however, require one of Wyze’s paid subscription plans.
