Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s launch seems to be fast approaching. This will be the top-end version in the series that already has the vanilla Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. The main focus here will be on the cameras, besides performance. Rumors claim that the company may unveil the phone in China on December 26th . If you were wondering about its global launch, new evidence suggests it might. The alleged Xiaomi 17 Ultra global version has reportedly bagged the FCC certification.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra appeared on the FCC certification and IMEI database
The FCC listing reveals the model number 2512BPNDAG, with the “G” at the end denoting global. The FCC ID mentioned is “2AFZZZ2512BPN.” While the certification doesn’t mention the name of the flagship, the IMEI database listing of the phone (with the same model number) confirms it’s indeed the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. This also mentions the ‘ Xiaomi ’ branding.
The FCC listing confirms the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will run Android 16-based HyperOS 3 custom skin right out of the box. The FCC E-label confirms that the smartphone will be available in Europe. The upcoming Xiaomi flagship will support GSM/ GPRS, WCDMA (HSDPA, HSUPA, DC-HSDPA), 4G LTE, and 5G networks. It’ll support Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), with connectivity across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands.
Besides these, you’ll also get Bluetooth BR/EDR/LE and NFC connectivity options. The certification also confirms wireless charging, but the exact charging wattage is not specified.

The phone will be heading globally
While that’s about it for the FCC certification, recent leaks have hinted at what to expect. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the predecessor. It could arrive with a 1-inch main camera. But the camera setup may see a downgrade from quad-sensors on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra to triple lenses. Xiaomi could make up for this with better camera optimisation and features.
Lastly, it’s reported that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra would cost the same as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. To recall, the predecessor went official at 6,499 Yuan (~$923) for the base 12GB/256GB version. While it’s clear that the phone is launching globally, we’re not sure of its global price yet.
