Xiaomi has a few global launches scheduled for early 2026. Speaking of which, the company has already confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will go global , possibly this or next month. Although there’s no exact launch date yet, Xiaomi could use the February-bound MWC 2026 event for the global launch. Just to be clear, the phone has already debuted in the Chinese market back in December last year. Now, it appears the Xiaomi 17 Ultra wouldn’t be the only device launching globally, as its “Leica Edition” is also seemingly getting a global variant, which was recently certified.

The global variant of Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition reportedly just got certified

The news comes via popular tipster Ice Universe on X. The tipster spotted the certified global variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition on Thailand’s NBTC website . Per the spotted listing, the certified global Leica Edition will supposedly carry the model number 2512BPNA1G. For the uninitiated, the “Leica Edition” of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra also debuted in China.

Apart from the fact that the global variant has been certified, there aren’t many details about the device. But we are assuming that the device will mimic similar specs for the global model, too. The “Leica Edition” is a camera-centric variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

On Weibo, the company recently confirmed that the zoom ring of the phone will be a bit wobbly . However, that shouldn’t be a concern because Xiaomi says it’s intentional. You can also expect to hear a faint sound when tapping it, too. That said, the company has confirmed that this functionality won’t compromise the phone’s ingress protection rating.

The global variant might mimic the specs of the Chinese variant

As far as specs are concerned, the global variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition could mimic the specs of the Chinese model. Meaning, it might pack the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor under the hood. In terms of display, we expect to see a 6.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. The camera module will be powered by Leica, which we expect to feature a 1-inch 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP 75–100mm periscope telephoto camera with continuous optical zoom. The phone could also come with exclusive Leica software for photographers. On the power front, the global Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition might come with a 6,800mAh silicon-carbon battery, paired with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
