Xiaomi 17 Ultra is apparently the next flagship from the Chinese brand. The company introduced the first models in the Xiaomi 17 lineup a couple of months ago. The new Ultra variant will rival the best camera phones globally with impressive photographic prowess. For a while, we’ve been hearing various leaks, including us in on what’s to come. The latest one takes things to a new level , as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s alleged live images have now surfaced with a triple camera setup.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra live images have leaked
The alleged Xiaomi 17 Ultra live images have now surfaced on Weibo . As you’d expect, the design is all covered by a bulky protective case, but the camera setup is still visible. One look at the images makes it clear that the Xiaomi flagship will have triple camera sensors. For reference, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a quad-sensor system. There are rumors about Xiaomi ditching a telephoto lens to implement a technology that allows one periscope sensor to offers multiple zoom steps. However, this is just speculation for now.
The images suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will possibly retain the signature circular camera module, like this year’s model. As a matter of fact, even the Xiaomi 14 Ultra features a circular module. However, the lens arrangement within this slightly differs.
Two camera sensors are present at the bottom, with what looks like a telephoto lens located on the upper left side. Above this large lens are two LEDs. The design matches the alleged photography kit images that were leaked a few days ago.
The flagship will be launching globally
Rumors note that the new periscope module contains not just a simple telephoto lens but a true optical zoom camera with variable focal length. Recent leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s triple camera could feature a 50MP OVX10500U primary camera, a 200MP S5KHPE telephoto unit, and a 50MP OV50M or a 50MP S5KJN5 ultrawide lens. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra could ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, like most flagships these days.
The phone will also expand globally, considering the predecessors did. But besides that, the global model, with the model number 2512BPNDAG, has reportedly been discovered in the IMEI database. However, it could debut in China first , before heading to global markets around March 2026.
